Botanicula

Botanicula: An Escape to Nature

Quick Review:
Botanicula is a beautifully-designed game, visually and aurally. Gorgeously designed with an aural landscape that matches the visuals, it almost feels like you’re living and breathing in the game environment.

Despite the lack of any dialogue in the game, the game pans out in an easy way to understand the humour-filled story. And as a point-and-click adventure game, it’s easy to navigate around; all you need to do is click, explore and discover what Mr Lantern, Mrs Mushroom, Mr Poppyhead, Mr Twig and Mr Feather need to do to save the last seed from evil parasites.

During these pandemic times (at the time of playing and doing this review, COVID-19 has become the new norm for the world), Botanicula transports you to a world that a lot of us can’t visit or partake in for a while and it’s a very enjoyable game for both adults and kids alike. When I finished the game, I found myself wishing the game was longer or has replay value. But still, it’s a great game to play and be a part of.
